Good day and greetings fellow Colonial Heights owners and residents.
This is Roman Borisenko, unit 653 owner and president of the HOA. I am writing you today with good news and a little bad news. First the good news: The HOA is about to remedy a longstanding problem and frequent request of ownership.
I am speaking of our parking lot, the asphalt condition, pothole, and lack of clear lines and space numbering. The asphalt will be repaired, sealed, and parking spaces numbered as to what units they are reserved for.
Now, the bad news. Accomplishing this work will result in some temporary parking displacement, inconvenience, and will require everyone’s cooperation and tolerance for a brief 48 hours.
Here is the sequence of work to be done. On Tuesday, June 15th, the paving company will start the asphalt repair. The parking spaces facing units 659, 661, 663, 665, 667, and 669 must be vacant as of 8 AM Tuesday morning. It is critical that no cars be parked in those spaces after 8 AM Tuesday the 15th.
On Wednesday, June 16th, as you look at our complex from Bashford, the right side will be sealed, lined, and numbered. So, NO vehicles, I repeat NO vehicles period can be parked in the primary or secondary spaces belonging to 645 thru 669, during the daytime Wednesday 6/16. Before the work crew departs at approximately 4 to 5 o’clock the sealant and paint will have dried and the right side of the lot re-opened. Simultaneously, the left side will be blocked off with cones, so it will be empty for the 621 to 645 area to be sealed, lined, and numbered on Thursday, June 17th. By 4 to 5 o’clock, the job will be done and the entire lot opened for use.
On any given day we have 40 vehicles using parking spaces, so half of the lot won’t be enough. Many will have to use Oak Run behind us, for one or two days. Please understand on Wednesday and Thursday when half the lot is closed, it is “first come first served”. You do not have your 2 personal spots.
There is one large caveat to this schedule. Rain is in the forecast for all the upcoming days. This could delay completion of current jobs and necessitate adjusting our scheduled dates. We will advise of any adjustments, but the outline and sequence of our work will remain the same.
Best Regards to all.
